New York Governor Hochul calls pro-lifers ‘Neanderthals’ while signing law to protect abortionists

During the signing of a law to immediately protect abortion and abortionists in New York if Roe vs. Wade is overturned, Governor Kathy Hochul called pro-life individuals “Neanderthals” and compared herself to the original feminists and leaders of the United States. However, these feminists actually opposed abortion and would oppose the very pro-abortion ideas propagated by Hochul.

Feminism is pro-life

Hochul addressed a gathering of abortion supporters in New York’s Great Hall and compared her work protecting abortion and abortionists to the work of strong women who fought for the legitimate rights of women. and who strongly opposed abortion.

“This historic place,” she said, “[…] This great hall, the very space we find ourselves in right now, has been central to moving forward – the long and often twisted journey to women’s rights – since that first meeting with Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton who challenged the status quo as they had elsewhere. Frances Perkins who became a leader in state government when FDR was governor but also defined a generation of support for people in times of need during the Great Depression when FDR became president. So this is the place where women’s voices need to be heard, they have been heard and after today they will be heard again. Indeed, they will not only be heard, they will roar.

Yet these early suffragists in the United States – Anthony, Stanton and Perkins – were versus Abortion. Elizabeth Cady Stanton rightly called abortion “child murder” and “evil.” She also said, “We live today under a dynasty of strength; the masculine element everywhere dominates the feminine and crushes women and children under its feet. Let woman assert herself in all her native purity, dignity and strength and end this massive suffering and murder of helpless children. With centuries of degradation, we have so little true femininity that the world has only the faintest glimmer of what a woman is or should be. Stanton saw abortion for what it really is – the oppression of women and children.

Anthony is credited with writing some of the most powerful anti-abortion articles and has said of abortion: “[…] whatever the motive, the love of ease or the desire to save the unborn innocent from suffering, the woman is terribly guilty who commits the act. It will weigh down his conscience in life, it will weigh down his soul in death; but ha! Thrice guilty is the one who, for a selfish satisfaction, heedless of her prayers, indifferent to her fate, has led her to the despair that drives her to crime.

How would these strong pro-life women react to hearing Hochul shout their names in celebration and in defense of abortion?

LILY: New York seeks new abortion expansion that includes funding for abortion travel

Hochul went on to say (emphasis added):

New York women will never be subjected to government mandated pregnancies because that is what will ensue if Roe v. Wade is overruled by the Supreme Court.

This is the United States of America, where liberty and liberty are meant to mean something. It is the rock on which we were founded. It’s supposed to mean something – except in the eyes of some Neanderthals who say women aren’t entitled to those rights..

We have endured centuries of misogyny, discrimination and domination, but they are all meant to be over now. We are in 2022. The right to control our own bodies was supposed to be a well-established precedent by now, or so we thought..

First of all, there is no “government imposed pregnancy” in the United States. The government does not require a woman to become pregnant and cannot force a pregnancy – as any woman who has struggled with infertility knows. Pregnancy can neither be wanted nor forced. However, the government box encourage abortion as the “easy” answer for poor women by making it publicly funded. Statistics prove that taxpayer funding of abortion increases abortion rates.

It’s also worth noting that, despite Hochul’s comments about bodily autonomy, Hochul has mandated COVID-19 vaccinations for healthcare workers in New York – so clearly she has no problem with government mandates on people’s bodies when they suit his political motives.

Second, labeling pro-lifers as “Neanderthals” shows that Hochul intends to intimidate his pro-life voters into submitting to his pro-abortion goals. She wants pro-lifers in New York to feel inferior and uneducated. However, pro-life values align with advances in science and medicine. Since deer was decided in 1973, ultrasound technology is just one of the ways science has allowed us to learn more about life inside the womb. Embryos and fetuses are clearly visible and it is obvious that they are human beings – people – who have their own bodies and deserve their own rights, including freedom and freedom. It is common knowledge that a new human life begins at the moment of fertilization.

Finally, Hochul claims that abortion has freed women from “centuries of misogyny, discrimination and domination” – except it hasn’t. Pregnancy-related discrimination continues in the workplace, in education and in other areas; because abortion is legal and accessible, some employers and institutions expect women to abort if they want to keep their job or continue their education.

Legalized abortion turns women into the very oppressors that suffragists like Stanton and Anthony worked so hard to emerge from beneath. Abortion pits mother against child, causing a woman to discriminate against her baby – as if her child is inferior, undeserving of rights and of no value. And abortion allows women to dominate the most vulnerable human beings – their own children – just as men have dominated women for centuries despite their inherent equality.

The end of deer

Hochul said he read the leaked draft opinion of the Supreme Court of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization with “horror and disgust” and that she believes “the sky is about to fall” with the possible imminent reversal of deer. She noted that the end of deer would be the realization of “our worst fears” and therefore she felt she had to “act now as if this were a final decision” by the Court. That, she says, is why she signed the legislation that further cements New York’s status as one of the most abortion-friendly states in the nation.

Abortion advocates do not admit the harm caused by five decades of legal abortion and do not recognize the truth before them: every abortion is an act of homicide that violently kills a living, innocent human being.
